In November 2018, da MARA claimed "Cuoco (Chef) of the Year" and the coveted "Best Pizza in Wales" titles at the Welsh Italian Awards, independently judged by the ALMA International Cookery School Team and Fortunata Rossano, Mancherster City FC Chef and Executive Chef at The Cheshire Cookery School.

Our Pizza's Secret
da MARA is proud to claim the first Stefano Ferrara log burning oven in Wales.
This same oven type was the one used to bake the first ever Margherita pizza in Naples in late 1889.
Our handcrafted, traditional Neapolitan brick oven has been custom-built by a specialist oven-maker in Italy and da MARA are proud to be the only restaurant in Wales to use one.
